    Newtown, PA-The International Journal of Applied Research in Veterinary Medicine is now indexed in the CAB Abstracts Database, available on cabdirect.org and AnimalScience.com, and CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service), effective with Volume I, Number 1, Winter 2003.

    CAB Abstracts is a bibliographic database compiled by CABI Publishing. It covers the significant research and development literature in the fields of agriculture, forestry, aspects of human health, human nutrition, animal health and the management of conservation of natural resources. Over 4 million records have been added to the database since its computerization in 1973.

    AnimalScience.com is an Internet subscription based service published by CABI publishing, available for researchers, practitioners and information specialists in animal sciences. It contains information resources tailored to meet the need of the animal science community, including free access to CABDirect, current news on animal health and production, animal diseases and product news. The journal section provides links to core journals in animal science and tables of contents and chapters from animal health books.

    CAS is a division of the American Chemical Society, located in Columbus, Ohio. CAS is the producer of the largest and most comprehensive databases of chemical information. Their principal databases are Chemical Abstracts (CA), which contains over 22 million document records from chemical journal and patent literature, and Registry, which contains over 21 million substance and 27 million sequence records. CAS also operates the STN International online service with partner organizations in Europe and Asia. STN provides access to nearly 200 databases covering topics such as science, technology, patents, and business information.

    The International Journal of Applied Research in Veterinary Medicine is a Peer-reviewed, Rapid publication journal that promotes excellence in the clinical practice of veterinary medicine by disseminating fundamental scientific, diagnostic, and treatment knowledge gained from prospective and retrospective research. All submitted articles are reviewed within 15 business days, and if accepted, published within 90 days of acceptance.

    The journal is multidisciplinary, and will consider articles from every legitimate specialty. It is particularly interested in clinical trials, comparative drug and device studies, outcomes research, and pharmacology and pharmacokinetics.

    The journal circulates to over 400 veterinary libraries in more than 80 countries worldwide. Full text of all published articles appear on-line at the journal's website, www.jarvm.com.
